European Football Match Betting Tips 12th to 14th March 2010

Using the football betting odds from top sports bookmaker bwin.com we attempt to unravel the complexities
surrounding the European Football markets. Below is my picks from this weeks betting markets and a
suggested bet. The matches come from the Bundesliga in Germany, La Liga in Spain, Serie A in Italy and
Ligue 1 in France.

Bundesliga – (Friday) Schalke 04 19/20 Draw 9/4 VfB Stuttgart 57/20

Fridays evening kick-off sees Schalke 04 host Stuttgart. Schalke are riding on the crest of a wave currently
standing in second place in the Bundesliga. They have won nine of thirteen matches when playing at home,
with Stuttgart managing only four wins away in twelve played this season. Led by giant striker Kevin Kuranyi,
who has enjoyed interest from Premiership clubs, will be hoping to add to his haul of thirteen goals so far this
season. Stuttgart threw away a two goal lead against Werder Bremen in their last match and they will find
things very tough against one of the league leaders in this match away from home. My tip is for Schalke to
win this match at 19/20, which is close to even money.

La Liga – (Sunday) Racing Santander 5/4 Draw 9/4 Real Zaragoza 41/20

This match is selected because in La Liga this week there are lots of heavy favourites versus weaker teams
and bottom sides facing teams very close to them in the league which is tough to call in terms of a betting
choice. La Liga is certainly a tricky football betting proposition this week. Both of these clubs are in relegation
trouble only just above the relegation spots. Racing drew 0-0 away to Valencia which was a good result for
them. Zaragoza drew 1-1 against Bilbao which is also a good performance. My feelings here are that if you
must put a bet on La Liga this week this match offers decent value for the draw at 9/4. Both teams have
struggled but shown glimpses of recovery and they may cancel each other out in this match with both teams
currently improving.

Serie A (Friday) Catania 31/10 Draw 11/5 Inter Milan 9/10

Catania is in fifteenth place in Serie A and has only conceded one goal in their last three games. They have
only scored once in those three games however. Inter Milan have stuttered in the league drawing four of
their last five games but they remain at the summit of Serie A in first place. I think football betting fans can
back Inter to win this match as the bookmaker has to cover the draw at a low price given the recent results
of both clubs. I think Inter will win the league and they should not lose this match but they will be fighting
to get back on track with a win. Can they do it? Inter at 9/10 is my tip with the league leaders re-emerging
as a title favourites!

Ligue 1 (Saturday) FC Lorient 19/20 Draw 11/5 RC Lens 29/10

I like to back a team that is playing at home against a side much lower in the league. Although there is only
six points between them the league places are FC Lorient in ninth place and Lens in fifteenth. The pressure
is on Lens to avoid getting involved in the relegation scrap and we saw in England with Hull City last season
just what that pressure can do to your league performance.  Lorient has a +10 goal difference so we can
assume leaking goals as been their problem. With their home fans behind them they may do better. A 1-1
draw against Marseille in their last match was a good result. Lens should struggle away from home as their
seasons form is won two, draw three and lost eight this season indicating a real chance for the home team
to prevail. I back Lorient to win this match at 19/20.

If you place a £10 accumulator bet on all of the selections above you would return including your stake
£234.90. Without including the draw tip and therefore making the bet a treble for the three win selections,
your return for a £10 including your stake would be £72.25.

Good luck with all of your European Football Betting this weekend.

European Football Match Betting Tips 26th feb to 27th Feb 2010  Archive

European football betting is a great way to give your soccer betting that Continental flavour each weekend.
There are so many football matches to bet on throughout the sports betting markets that surely there is one
great bet to take advantage of in each league? We aim to find that in this weekly tipping guide. Using the
football betting odds from bwin here are my picks for the best match of the German, Spanish, Italian and
French football league match schedule. There is even a suggested bet you may wish to place.

Bundesliga - VFB Stuttgart 11/20 Draw 11/4 Eintracht Frankfurt 97/20

Betting on the Bundesliga is tight this week with many marginal matches. Stuttgart are the heavy favourites
for this match but two places below Frankfurt in the league which makes me interested in betting on this
match. They drew 1-1 with Barcelona in the Champions league which was a good performance. Frankfurt is
doing well in the league and had a goalless draw against Hamburger SV recently. I think this match will be
drawn at 11/4 with Eintracht fans certainly getting a bit of value for the away win which is possible given
the teams league positions.

La Liga – Getafe 4/5 Draw 12/5 Real Zaragoza 33/10

My main reason for taking Getafe for this bet is the league positions of the respective teams. Getafe is eighth
in the league whilst Zaragoza is one place above the relegation places. Playing at home, Getafe are the
obvious favourites for this match. Zaragoza lost to Sporting Gijon in their last match playing at home and
will not relish playing away to a side expecting to avenge an away loss to two David Villa goals against Valencia. Certainly a sensible bet is on Getafe with odds of 4/5 offering a decent return for the winning
football bet.

Serie A – Napoli 8/5 Draw 11/5 Roma 8/5

Despite Roma playing away they are on a five game winning streak and up to second in the league beating
Palermo, Catania and Fiorentina in the process. Napoli has struggled for victories recently in the league
matches and has drawn three and lost one of their last four games. As Roma have excellent league form I
think they will prove very difficult to beat despite being away. At 8/5 I like their chances of victory in this
match which could see them move to within two points of league leaders Inter Milan if Jose Mourinho’s team
fail to pick up any points this weekend.

Ligue 1 – AS Nancy Lorraine 13/20 Draw 5/2 Grenoble Foot 38 21/5

Grenoble is at the foot of France’s Ligue 1 with a sorry ten points for the season. Nancy is hardly flying but
has thirty two points for the season and despite being in fourteenth place they are safe from relegation.
Playing away from home is hard for any team in relegation trouble, but Grenoble have drawn two and lost ten
of their twelve away matches this season, not registering even one victory so their chances of victory here
are very, very small. Even at 6.5/10 this is a decent bet for me as I would expect less than 1/2 for a home
victory here. Take advantage of the odds reflecting the league position rather than the chances of victory
and back Lorraine to win at 13/20.

My treble bet this week consists of backing Lorraine to win at 13/20, Roma to win at 8/5 (my favourite bet of
the week if you only want a single bet) and Getafe at 4/5. If you placed a £10 treble on these selections your
total return including your stake would be a nice £77.22.

Good luck with your football betting during this weekends European Football fixtures.

European Football Match Betting Tips 20th feb to 21th Feb 2010

Welcome back to our weekly trawl through the various betting opportunities available in the football betting
markets at bwin. Each week we pick out a match from each of the Spanish, Italian, French and German
football leagues to give your football bets that European flavour for this weekend.

La Liga – Osasuna 4/5 Draw 47/20 Real Valladolid 17/5

Home teams always have a good advantage and I always look for teams that are playing a weaker side in
the league giving them a great chance of a victory. This match offers such criteria. Valladolid are second
from bottom with Osasuna firmly in mid-table. Sevilla beat Osasuna away from home so they will be keen to
rebound from that and inflict further defeats on Valladolid, who has only won three matches this season.
4/5 is good odds for the home win and enough to persuade me this is one of the best bets to take in La Liga
this weekend.

Serie A - Cagliari 9/10 Draw 9/4 Parma 3/1

Cagliari is eighth in Serie A but with a game in hand they could be sixth if they won their extra match.
They are unbeaten in three games and face a team that has not won in five and their league position of
twelfth place is not truly reflecting their current form and is in grave danger unless they can pick up results
quickly. Parma has not managed a clean sheet this season away from home and against a team in form they
should struggle in this match. Again the odds for a home win are attractive and I would be happy to bet on
this match and hope for a good return on my football bet.

Ligue 1 – Stade Rennais 13/10 Draw 21/10 Lille 21/10

The bookmaker heavily favours the draw here but the league table tells a slightly different story.
Lille is third in the league currently with Stade Rennais in eighth position. I favour an away win here, they
do happen! Rennais has strong home record and whilst I can see the reason a draw has such low odds the
strength of Lille in the league makes an away win possible. This is certainly a punt but it is rare that a team
so high in the league is given odds better than even money against a side outside of the top six. If you want
to make a treble bet from the selections I would leave this match out.

Bundesliga - SC Freiburg 8/5 Draw 11/5 Hertha BSC 8/5

This bottom of the table clash sees fourth from bottom Freiburg take on bottom team Hertha. Both sides
have shed goals heavily this season with Hertha nursing a goal difference of -24 and Freiburg -20. This has
all the markings of a “bore draw” as we call these matches in England where both teams lack the quality to
win and the match turns into a drab affair. Considering the draw is the most likely result and out of all three
outcomes a draw gives the punter the best return for a football bet it seems a good tip to make. If you want
to bet on a win, take Freiburg who will be hoping to keep themselves out of the relegation zone.

If you place a £10 accumulator bet on these four selections above it would bring home a fantastic return of
£339.26. Because some of the results are somewhat speculative a treble bet of three of the selections would
also bring you a nice return. Hopefully the teams will perform for us as we wish and we can celebrate another
European Football betting win for this season.

Good luck with all of your bets, whatever they are, in the European football betting markets for this weekend.

European Football Match Betting Tips 13th feb to 15th Feb 2010

Fantastic football betting opportunities continue to spring up every weekend and using this article we try
our best to direct you to some of the better opportunities that you can bet on. Below is a selected match
from Spain, Germany, France and Italy so your bets are spread throughout Europe’s biggest leagues.
Perhaps your knowledge of one particular league gives you a big advantage in the betting market, let’s
find out. Get your bets on early as the prices are subject to change.

La Liga – Athletico Madrid 71/20 Draw 53/20 Barcelona 7/10

Barcelona are playing away from home and they are unbeaten in the league this season winning seventeen
of their twenty matches and drawing the other four, conceding only eleven goals all season. It has been
a dream season for them so far. Athletico Madrid has only won six of their twenty one matches and will
not relish a visit from the best team in the league so far. Barcelona beat Getafe 2-1 in their last match
but Madrid struggled to hold Racing Santander to a 1-1 draw away from home. With Messi in fine form,
everything points to a Barcelona away win. I tip them to win at 7/10 which given the gulf between the
teams in terms of league position and results so far in the season is quite fair.

Bundesliga – Bayer Leverkusen 3/5 Draw 53/20 Vfl Wolfsburg 9/2

It will be very difficult for Wolfsburg to beat league leaders Bayer Leverkusen who remain undefeated in
the league this season. Leverkusen have won twelve and drawn nine matches so finishing teams off remains
a small issue despite never losing. Wolfsburg has managed five draws on the road this season and two wins
so their away form demands some respect. However, Leverkusen has won eight out of ten home games.
They should win this match on form alone against a team placed much further down the Bundesliga, but a
draw is possible. 3/5 is odds I will take on a home win here but if you prefer the draw 53/20 is pretty
good also.

Ligue 1 – Valenciennes FC 9/10 Draw 23/10 OSG Nice 59/20

This tie sees mid table Valenciennes take on relegation threatened Nice at home. Valenciennes managed a
1-1 draw at home to
FC Sochaux-Montbéliard but then suffered a crushing 5-1 defeat to Marseille in their
last match. They have a bad home record winning only three of eleven matches played at home.
Nice are struggling also with four losses out of their last five matches, drawing their last match 1-1 at home
to Lille. Valenciennes will not win many home games this season it appears but against a team in bad form
like Nice this is a good chance for them to improve on unflattering statistics. I think 9/10 is fair odds and
I fancy the home win here.

 Serie A – Chievo 4/5 Draw 9/4 Siena 7/2

Siena is bottom of Serie A and looking like a relegation side with two straight defeats and four defeats in
their last five matches. Against any team away from home they look like struggling. Chievo lost their last
game but are far more consistent at home than away. Look for them to pile on the pressure for Siena and
this is a match where players and fans of Chievo will expect to win. You might like the half time/full time
odds for Chievo to be winning at the end of both halves of play at 9/5.

Due to the prices of these teams I would select three of the selections and back them as a treble.
For my treble I have selected Chievo at 4/5, Valenciennes at 9/10 and Barcelona at 7/10. A £10 stake
will return a total of £58.14. Good luck with any bet you place in the European football markets this weekend.

European Football Match Betting Tips 06th feb to 8th Feb 2010

Many of the top players in Europe are now keen to put in their best performances with the eyes
of their national managers making the finishing touches to their preparations before announcing
their World Cup squads.
Football betting opportunities are available from each league in Europe
every week during the season and below are my picks for the matches this weekend with one
match selected from the Spanish, Italian, French and German leagues.

La Liga - Osasuna 3/4 Draw 47/20 CD Tenerife 37/10

Home teams always have an advantage, particularly when they are higher in the league than
their opposition. Tenerife is currently second from bottom of the league whilst Osasuna are higher
placed in tenth position. Tenerife lost their match at home to Zaragoza 3-1 whilst Osasuna won
away at Villareal. Playing from home against a struggling team I must back Osasuna to win with
odds of 3/4 looking attractive. The half time/full time betting market offers Osasuna/Osasuna at
7/4 which would be a good
football bet also.

Serie A – Genoa 9/10 Draw 11/5 Chievo 31/10

The teams are close in the league with Genoa in tenth position and Chievo in twelfth position.
Genoa have only lost once in five games and have not conceded a goal in their last two matches,
with a goalless draw against Napoli and 2-0 home victory over Atalanta. Chievo are unbeaten in
three games but have drawn their last two matches 1-1. Their away form is patchy so I would give
the advantage to Genoa at home. 9/10 is also close to an Industry leading price for the home win
offered by bwin so get on early if you want to bet on this match.

Ligue 1 – OGC Nice 29/10 Draw 47/20 Lille 9/10

There is a major piece of away day value here with Lille in third position in the league visiting
relegation threatened Nice who lie in sixteenth position where the eighteenth, nineteenth and
twentieth teams are relegated from Ligue 1. Lille won their last match against Paris St Germain
3-1 at home. Away from home Lille have won four out of ten away matches played this season
while Nice have only managed to win four of their ten home games. Nice have also lost their last
four matches. Fighting for a the champions league spot should be motivation enough for Lille to
disregard being away from home and snatch a victory at almost even money. Lille, away, at 9/10 is
my tip for this match.

Bundesliga – Bochum 19/4 Draw 51/20 Bayer Leverkusen 3/5

Bayer Leverkusen are top for the league and bwin are offering 137/100 for them to win in the half
time/full time betting. The match itself seems a bit of a mismatch for me and although 3/4 is not
fantastic odds, Leverkusen should win this match. Bochum failed to beat bottom side Hertha last week
only managing a draw. If you need further convincing Leverkusen has the best away record in the
league whilst out of 18 teams in the league, Bochum has the 16th worst home record.

If you were to bet all of the tipped teams in an accumulator bet for this weeks European matches
then for a £10 stake you would receive a total of £101.08. Remember that you can choose from a
variety of other bets on the football markets including correct score, the over/under on goals scored
in the match and which team, if any, will score first.

Enjoy your football betting on whatever team you choose to bet on this weekend in the European
soccer leagues.

European Football Match Betting Tips 30th Jan to 1st Feb 2010

Where does the week go? Fortunately we have football betting to keep us occupied. Across Europe there
are some tasty matches in prospect for this weekend so let’s dive right in and work out the matches
which offer the chance for some good profits. Here are my top picks from Spain, Italy, Germany and
France, plus a possible bet you can place based on those selections.

La Liga - FC Sevilla 5/4 Draw 23/10 Valencia 2/1

Valencia remains in third place in the league despite drawing 0-0 with Tenerife last weekend. Sevilla
are sixth in the league and beat Almeria 1-0 last weekend (as tipped by us). This is a tough match to
call and could easily become a bore draw. However Valencia had a great 4-0 home win two weeks ago
against Villareal and I think they may make a charge in the league once again. My tip is Valencia to win
at 2/1 as the articles I have read suggest that 0-0 draw was an unlikely result and something of a dip in
form and Sevilla have struggled this season with consistency.

Serie A – Parma 3/1 Draw 9/4 Inter Milan 9/10

I hope you bet on our tipped match of Inter versus AC Milan. We were right to remember Inters
league position and not get carried away by the furore surrounding David Beckham. This week Inter are
away to Parma. Inter have won their last three matches and are in great form. Parma are struggling in
the league currently in twelfth position having lost their last three matches. Against the top of the league
team on the back of their derby win this is a mismatch. Inter should win this game and the odds of 9/10
are very attractive despite Inter playing away. Get on early as these odds are likely to be snapped up by
keen football bettors!

Bundesliga – Hertha BSC 4/5 Draw 23/10 Vfl Bochum 7/2

This interesting match sees bottom of the table Hertha BSC take on relegation threatened Bochum.
It is rare to see Hertha odds on for a match as they have only managed ten points so far this season and
look sure to be relegated. Hertha did draw 0-0 against Monchengladbach who are higher in the league
than Bochum. However, Bochum managed to beat third place Schalke battling back from two goals down
to do it. I think 7/2 is an amazing odds for the away team to beat a club at the foot of the table. I will add
it to our accumulator and adjust the accumulator stake in reflection of the odds. My tip is Bochum to win
at 7/2.

Ligue 1 – Lille 1/2 Draw 53/20 RC Lens 6/1

This match is selected because we already have a few odds against selections and we need a banker
to balance things. In this match, it looks like we have found a suitable team to support. Lille are the
home team, third in the league with the second best home record this season. RC Lens have only won
two out of ten away matches this season and are at the lower end of the league only seven points from
the relegation places. This looks like a straight forward match for Lille at 1/2 so fingers crossed they
will perform for us.

The bet I shall be placing is a £5 accumulator on Lille at 1/2, Bochum at 7/2, Inter Milan at 9/10 and
Valencia at 2/1. Because we are backing some teams odds against I would suggest halving the normal
stake of £10 to £5. This will still return a total of £192.38 should the bets come in for us. Hopefully our
tipping radar is spot on and we have a nice win!

Good win with your European football betting this weekend, whatever teams you decide to bet on.

European Football Betting Jan 23rd -24th

All eyes are on David Beckham as he is back in Europe playing football with AC Milan for the second time in
two years. In our weekly glance over the
betting opportunities available thanks to the odds from bwin will
we get some value for Beckham to help AC Milan to victory this week? Here are my three top picks for
the European games this weekend which form the basis for my bets for this weekend’s football.

Serie A - Inter Milan 2.55 Draw 3.15 AC Milan 2.70

Sundays Milan derby is given extra spice due to Beckhams return. David is 9.00 to score the first goal in
the match, but bwin favour a tight game offering odds of 6.50 for a 0-0 draw. Inter won the last match
between the two 4-0 and are still top of Serie A by six points. AC Milan are in second place in Serie A and
will hope to reduce the deficit to three points by beating their rivals. Inter have won their last four matches
whilst AC Milan lost to Palermo 2-0 on 13th January. I believe that Inter will be tough to beat and will win
this match but it may be very close between that and draw on which is the best bet. 2.55 is close the
best odds available for Inter in the current betting market so going with bwin you are getting very good
odds on Inter to win.

La Liga - FC Sevilla 1.45 Draw 4.00 UD Almeria 7.00

There is a little bit of value in this match if you would need a banker for an accumulator or multiple
football bet. Sevilla are performing well in the league currently in sixth place and have only lost six of
their eighteen league games this season. They were heavily beaten by Barcelona 4-0 in their last match,
but forward Kanoute is always dangerous against weaker opposition. They may find this weaker opposition
in Almeria who are in relegation trouble in fifteenth position only two points clear of the relegation teams. Playing away to Sevilla will be difficult for a team who has only won four of their eighteen matches.
I would bet on a home win for this match at 1.45. Thanks to
Barcelona thoroughly beating Sevilla in their
last match we are getting fair odds here.

Bundesliga – Werder Bremen 3.25 Draw 3.25 FC Bayern Munich 2.15

Away day value is a great way to bet on teams likely to win and still get great odds. Franck Ribery,
subject of intense speculation about moves to Real Madrid and Man Utd, is scheduled to make a comeback
after four months out with injury. Bayern are third in the league to Werder Bremens sixth place and
undoubtedly they will be motivated by Ribery’s return. Werder Bremen have lost their last two games
and it looks like a game set up for a Bayern victory. Werder Bremen lost at home to Schalke and have not
won a league match since November. The tip for this match is FC Bayern to win at odds of 2.15.

If you wish to follow my lead and back the three teams above in a treble bet you would earn a total of
£79.50 if all the tipped sides win for us this weekend. As the teams are away from home and some of
the matches are close I would recommend you consider placing a patent bet (three double bets and a treble)
to cover yourself against a result that does not go our way. If you place a £2.50 Patent bet on the tipped
teams your total potential returns are £65.99, which most of the doubles returning most of your stake if
one result goes against us.

There are many other football bets and special bets on offer from bwin this weekend. Remember to watch
the big match on ESPN between Inter Milan and AC Milan and keep watching bwins markets for other betting
opportunities on this and other matches as the kick-offs draw closer.

Enjoy all of your football betting this weekend.

European Football Tips 16th – 18th January 2010

The football schedule in the UK has been decimated by the terrible weather over the past two weeks.
Football betting fans welcome back the European countries after their winter break and this weekend sees
their next fixtures of the second half of the season.

La Liga - Athletic Bilbao 6.25 Draw 3.90 Real Madrid 1.50
Real
Madrid beat Mallorca 2-0 in their last match and are two points behind leaders Barcelona.
Bilbao are in eighth position in the league and are fighting to get into the all-important European
qualification placings. Their last game was a 1-1 draw away to Malaga who are in relegation trouble.
When the Galactico’s come to town they will need to do a lot better to win. Real
Madrid at 1.50 is my
tip to continue putting pressure on
Barcelona at the top of the table.

Serie A – Cagliari 1.80 Draw 3.20 Livorno 4.65
This match sticks out as offering good odds for the home team. Cagliari won their last match away to
Bologna and have Matri up front who is third top goalscorer in the whole league. They are ninth in the
league table and have won two and lost two of their last four matches. Livorno have also won two and
lost two of their last four games and beat 8th placed Parma 2-1 at home in their last match. I think the
home advantage is telling here and would back Cagliari at close to even money. 1.80 seems good odds for
the higher league placed home team to beat a team still in relegation trouble despite a couple of recent wins.

Bundesliga - Bayer Leverkusen 1.45 Draw 4.00 FSV Mainz 05 7.00
League leaders Leverkusen have played seventeen matches and won nine. They are unbeaten after
drawing their other eight matches.
Mainz are in ninth place and have lost five matches this season.
Stefan Kiessling is the top goalscorer in the Bundesliga spearheading their rise to the top of the league.
There is nothing to suggest this will be another strong performance by Leverkusen. I would back them
to win at 1.45, possibly as a double with Cagliari and continue their impressive performance in the league.

Ligue 1 – Bordeaux 1.95 Draw 3.95 Marseille 3.95
The French league leaders Bordeaux have won four more matches than any other team and have a nine
point lead at the top of the table. Marseille are in fourth place, just outside the Europe qualification spots.
Bordeaux beat FC Lorient 4-1 at home in their last match and are on a six match winning streak.
Striker
Marouane Chamakh has been getting Premiership interest from
Liverpool and Arsenal. Bordeaux
are doing well in the Championships league and they have a great chance to win this game. It seems
nothing can stop them lifting the French league title this season, providing they hold on to their star striker.
For this game 1.95 seems great odds.

A £10 bet on Bordeaux at 1.95, Leverkusen at 1.45 and Cagliari at 1.80 would return a total of £49.59 for
our European wide football treble. Good luck with the football bets you place this week.

JANUARY 8TH-10TH: WEEK-END FOOTBALL BETTING

Football bettingtips from Europe
By Malcolm Clarke -
Click for archive

The continued winter break for the European teams sees our football bettingtips focus on the English Premiership. Some of the matches may be under threat due to the weather conditions but with most
clubs having under soil heating facilities at their grounds hopefully most of the matches will go ahead.
The Europeans must be laughing at the Premiership teams for running around in the snow whilst they rest!

Arsenal 1.40 Draw 4.15 Everton 8.00
Arsenal have a game in hand compared to the league leaders and are only four points from the top of
the league. Aaron Ramsey is on a rich vein of form along with Fabregas but he may be missing because
of injury. Clichy, Van Persie, Eboue (international duty) are still out but Arshavin should be available
for selection. Everton need to pick up the pace to improve their league position and are still without
young midfielder Jack Rodwell who is out for another two or three weeks with a Hamstring injury.
Landon Donovan has joined on loan from LA Galaxy and may feature in this match. Everton’s form is solid
if unspectacular as they are unbeaten in five games but have drawn four of them. Arsenal have won five
of their last six matches and scored six in their last two home games. Everton will do very well to get a
result here and in your accumulator bets I would select Arsenal as my home team banker at 1.40.
They may well challenge for the Premiership title if things continue to go well for them.

Burnley 2.15 Draw 3.20 Stoke City 3.30
Two of the emerging Premiership clubs are facing each other in this match. Burnley are looking for a new
manager as Owen Coyle looks set to join Bolton as manager in less than ideal circumstances. Burnley have
twenty points after twenty matches and sit in fourteenth position in the league. They have not won a game
since October 31st. Their form is a worry coming into this game with behind the scenes problems usually
reflected in results when teams are struggling. Stoke are also suffering. They have lost their last three
league games and are in a similar position to Burnley in the league. A win for either club would kick start
the year for them but everything in the stats and club positions points to a draw. If you want to bet on
this match then the 3.20 is a sensible bet.

Birmingham City 5.50 Draw 3.65 Man Utd 1.60
Wayne Rooney is showing exactly why Ferguson allowed Ronaldo to leave the club as his form has been
incredible and hopefully he can repeat this form all the way to the World Cup in the summer.
The partnership between Rooney and Berbatov up front is improving and Man Utd are now on a run of
two games after a couple of surprise losses in December. They are second in the table and must keep
winning and hope Chelsea breaks down. Birmingham have been doing well recently sitting in 8th position in
the league. Unbeaten in eight matches and winning six of them they are good value for the upset. I do
think, however, that Man Utd will end the run as they continue to challenge Chelsea and Arsenal for the
title. 1.60 to win for Man Utd. The odds are fine, anything above 1.70 would be value for me so I think they
are about right and not too short despite Birmingham’s good run of form their fixtures were kinder than
some other teams during that time.

My treble bet for this week will consist of Man Utd at 1.60, Arsenal at 1.40 and the draw between Stoke
and Burnley at 3.20. The other tip I will make is the 1.75 home odds for West Ham who should fancy
winning the match against Wolves who sit above them in the league but have their morale hit by losses
to top sides Man Utd, Man City and Liverpool recently. West Ham may take advantage of this. Our bet
will return a total of £71.68 to a £10 stake if the results go our way.

Good luck with all of your footballing betting this weekend and look out for European football tips to come
for the Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga once their season recommences from the 15th January.

DECEMBER 26TH: CHRISTMAS FOOTBALL

Football bettingtips from Europe
By Malcolm Clarke

Here are the football betting tips for the Christmas period. With many of the European leagues on their
winter break the English Premiership provides most of the football betting entertainment over the Christmas
and New Year period. Get your bets on before you get full of turkey and have to rush out on Boxing Day!
The first two matches are played on December 26th with the following two matches played on 28th Dec.
The UK is getting hit fairly hard with snow and ice so use a site like bwin.com to place your bets online
and stay safe and warm at home.

Manchester City 1.40 Draw 4.00 Stoke City 8.50
The Mancini era has begun after the removal of manager Mark Hughes, which was hardly a surprise given
the extended run of disappointing draws. The team must now move on and they start with a home match
against Stoke City. At just under 1.40 this is a match that should herald the start of a glorious era at the
City of Manchester stadium. I believe in Man City and recommend you place this match within your
accumulator or treble bets and watch the Man City juggernaut begin their move towards the top of
the Premiership.

Sunderland 2.35 Draw 3.20 Everton 2.90
The first value bet of the Christmas break goes to Everton. Sunderland were looking good earlier in the
season but have faltered badly. Everton’s young midfielder Jack Rodwell is out for a month which is a
blow for them, but Sunderland are still without Cattermole (injury) and they have lost Michael Turner to
injury until mid-January. Spurs, Chelsea and Birmingham have all been held to draws by Everton in their
last three games whilst Sunderland have lost four out of their last five games. Everton will feel this match
is there for the taking. Everton are the form team between the two and my tips at 2.90.

Arsenal 1.60 Draw 3.75 Aston Villa 5.25
Arsenal are considered vulnerable to finish in the top four thanks to the rise of Aston Villa so this match
is really interesting. The teams are third and fourth in the league so this match is every bit a top of the
table contest. Arsenal have won three out of their last four games and perhaps should have held off
Burnley when a seventh minute goal from Fabregas gave them the lead away from home. Villa have won
their last four games against Stoke, Sunderland, Hull and Man Utd. I think this match will be very close
and a bet on any outcome has its merit. I favour the draw at 3.75. Both teams are playing well so you
will be fully entertained by watching and betting on this match.

Hull City 7.50 Draw 4.25 Man Utd 1.40
Surely there can be no more mishaps than we have already seen this season by the big teams?
We can normally bet with some certainty on heavy favourites winning their matches but this season has
seen many upsets so far. Man Utd have lost two of their last three games but facing Hull they would
expect to win the match far more than 1.40 suggests if played the game many times over.
I believe 1.40 is good value in a match where Man Utd are massive favourites. Hull are 17th in the league
and have not scored in their last three games. Despite a bad run recently most of the time Man Utd will
win this game with ease.

My Christmas treble bet tip is to back Man Utd at 1.40, Everton at 2.90 and Man City at 1.40. If all goes to
plan and we win the return for a stake of £10 in total would be a nice £56.84. This would be a very nice
return for the New Year celebration fund and I hope any football bet you make wins for you over Christmas.

Have a Merry Christmas your the football betting over the festive period.

DECEMBER 18TH: CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Football bettingtips from Europe

By Malcolm Clarke

Every week we offer tips on the biggest football matches from across Europe.
Football betting fans have told us they want to get tips on La Liga, Serie A and the Premiership football
matches so thanks to the football betting odds from bwin.com, here are your European Big Match Football
Tips for this weekend from 19th to 21st December 2009.

Premiership – Manchester City 1.45 Draw 4.00 Sunderland 7.50
With a record seven draws in a row the fans of Manchester City were wondering when they will finally
win a game. Then they beat Chelsea and normality was restored, or was it? A 3-3 draw against Bolton
was disappointed. Against a floundering Sunderland side that have lost three of their last four matches
Chelsea will hope their unbeaten run can continue with victory over them. Sunderland lost against
Aston Villa on Tuesday 2-0 and had captain Lorik Cana sent off. Lee Cattermole may return from injury
if he comes through a reserve game this week, but would probably start the game from the bench.
Based on the Sunderland team struggling and being without Cana I would tip Manchester City to win.
I had early confidence in Sunderland this season but they have faltered and possibly will struggle for
the rest of the season.

Bundesliga – Bayern Leverkusen 1.45 Draw 4.00 Borussia Monchengladbach 7.00
Leverkusen look to extend their lead at the top of the German league with a home match against
11th placed team Borussia Monchengladbach. Borussia beat Hannover 5-3 in their last match but
facing the top team and showing they will concede goals recently my tip is for Leverkusen, who will
look to get back to winning ways after a surprise 2-2 draw with bottom side Hertha. 1.45 seems decent
odds for a home win here. Against a suspect Monchengladbach defence the indications are that
Leverkusen could win this match quite easily.

La Liga – Athletic Bilbao 2.00 Draw 3.30 Osasuna 3.60
Athletic Bilbao managed to secure a 2-1 win over Real Zaragoza away from home giving them confidence
coming into this match. Osasuna lost 1-0 at home to Real Mallorca which does not give me any confidence
that they can go to Bilbao and get a result. Bilbao are seventh in the league to Osasuna’s eleventh position.
Former Real Madrid forward Javier Portillo provides the main striking threat for Osasuna but overall Bilbao
are a much stronger team and in better form so I would tip them at even money odds of 2.00 to have a
good chance of securing victory in this La Liga match.

Serie A – Palermo 1.58 Draw 3.50 Siena 6.15
Palermo are 13th in Serie A and have home advantage for this match. This may prove significant as
Siena have lost their three most recent matches and lie in 19th place in the league fighting to avoid
relegation even at this point of the season. Palermo managed to secure a wonderful 1-0 away to
AC Milan and they have won their last two games. With Siena in big trouble to be able to back Palermo
at better than 1.50 odds tell me you need to grab this value whilst you can. The rest of Serie A football
betting is quite tight so this match sticks out for me.

Good luck with your European football betting this weekend, remember to get your bets on early as
the odds are subject to change at all times and is especially true with these matches as they are among
the bigger matches and will get the most interest from fellow football betting fans.

DECEMBER 8TH: CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

European Football Weekend Betting Tips

By Malcolm Clarke

Stuck on which football matches to bet on this weekend? Here are my tips for this weekend’s
football betting opportunities from the big games around Europe. You can bet on them all thanks to the
football betting odds at bwin

Premiership - Manchester Utd 1.42 Draw 4.25 Aston Villa 7.00
Hugely depleted by injuries there is rumour that Man Utd may even turn to veteran defender
Sol Campbell for defensive cover. Two points behind the Premiership leaders Man Utd will be determined
to carry on pressuring Chelsea with a win here. Michael Owen could not have picked a better time to
start hitting a goal scoring streak and the fringe players like Darron Gibson are doing well covering for
missing first team players. In fifth place Villa are doing well this season, but you must favour a home
win by a Man Utd side with the league title well within their sights.

Premiership - Liverpool 2.15 Draw 3.20 Arsenal 3.30
There are so many quality sides in the Premiership that there is a big match nearly every weekend.
Here is another big match. Arsenals form away from home has been weak this season, losing to Su
nderland when favourites in November and also against big name teams like Man City and Man Utd.
Liverpool managed to win the Merseyside derby against Everton but face a tough task to beat Arsenal
who are third in the league. Alberto Aquilani should start for Liverpool and I see this match being a
war of
attrition and therefore my tip is the draw at 3.20

La Liga - FC Barcelona 1.16 Draw 7.00 Espanyol 13.00
Barcelona are heavy favourites for this match playing at home. They have won their last five matches
which included defeating the mighty Real Madrid. They are looking like champions once again both
domestically in Spain and in the Champions League. The 1.16 is short odds, but football betting fans
should look closely at the Over 2.5 goals in the match at odds of 1.45 or the X – Barcelona half time full
time odds of 5.25. If Espanyol can play well they may be able to hold off Barcelona until the second half.

Serie A - Atalanta 5.55 Draw 3.35 Inter Milan 1.65
Europe matches also offer away value. Inter Milan have lost recently away to Juventus 2-1 and also
lost in a Champions league fixture away. But they are top of the league having lost only twice this season.
Atalanta are 17th in Serie A at present and fighting a relegation battle already having lost four out of their
last five games. Inter should win this match comfortably even though they are away from home and I tip
them strongly at 1.65.

Serie A - Lazio 2.30 Draw 3.05 Genoa 3.15
Genoa enjoys 34 year old Hernan Crespo’s attacking threat but he has only scored four times this season.
Genoa are 7th in the league at present standing well above Lazio who are languishing in 16th position in
Serie A. Lazio have only won two games in fifteen this season and are really struggling. I think that a bet
on the draw in this match is sensible, as Lazio have shown they are fighting for survival this season but
have a weak forward line. A bet on Genoa would be acceptable, but Lazio have drawn many matches this
season and it seems down to a lack of goal scoring they are in trouble rather than being repeatedly
defeated. Draw odds of 3.05 are value here.

There are many more matches to bet on this weekend from around Europe with a full schedule of domestic
matches in the Premiership, La Liga, Serie A and all of the other divisions and countries. There are no
shortage of bets to analyse and special bets for each match available like first goalscorer or correct score
betting opportunities.

Good luck with your football betting this weekend.
