European Football Match Betting Tips May 22nd 2010  Archive

Place your Champions League Final Bets at bwin.com

This betting guide is for the Champions league final to be played on Saturday 22nd May 2010 kick off 19.45pm
GMT. The Italian champions Inter Milan are going for a historic treble season under charismatic manager Jose
Mourinho whilst the German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, unfortunately without star player Franck
Ribery due to suspension, are hoping to cause the upset and complete their own double winning season.
The following betting guide uses football betting odds from leading online sports betting bookmaker, bwin.com.

FC Bayern Munich 37/20 Draw 23/10 Inter Milan 27/20

The odds to win in normal time are attractive for both teams. Inter Milan are the favourites to win the cup
but not necessarily in normal time. I like Inter to win in normal time and would back the 27/20 for that
outcome. For Inter to lift the cup (i.e. does not matter when they win as long as they win!) the odds are
3/5 whilst Bayern are 6/5. I think bwin.com have priced this bet perfectly, so who do you think will win?

Correct Score Betting

My view is that this game will be a tight affair. Bayern and Inter have a lot to gain and much to lose and
this often causes cagey finals that can be boring as a viewing spectacle. It is true that a win of 1-0 would
suit either team. I think if Inter Milan scores an early goal they will win the game 2-0. I think the score will
either be 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 to Inter Milan or Bayern Munich in regular time; I doubt this match will go to extra
time. The bwin.com odds for these outcomes are as follows,

Inter to win 1-0 in regular time – 5/1
Inter to win 2-0 in regular time – 8/1
Inter to win 2-1 in regular time – 13/2
Bayern to win 1-0 in regular time – 6/1
Bayern to win 2-0 in regular time – 21/2
Bayern to win 2-1 in regular time – 29/4

FC Bayern Goalscorer Odds

Arjen Robben is the player being asked to fill the boots of Franck Ribery who is suspended from the final.
He has odds of 11/2 to score first and 8/5 to score anytime during the match. If you think he might score
two goals that is 6/1. All bets are for regular time which consists of the first and second half only.
Top striker Miroslav Klose is 8/1 to score first and 23/10 to score in the match. Other likely scorers are
Ivica Olic at 13/2 and Mario Gomez at 15/2. You may like to consider some of the forward players like Olic
and Gomez because with Robben cited as the main danger, if Inter double up on marking him there may be
more space for others to grab scoring opportunities.

Inter Milan Goalscorer Odds

Inter have a plethora of likely contenders to score and when you look at some of the names on their
team sheet you can understand why they are favourites to win the final. The favourite is Diego Milito who
has scored 22 goals in 34 matches for Inter. You can bet on him to score first at 9/2 or 13/10 to score
anytime in the match. Samuel Eto’o is 11/2 and I like his chances of being the first goalscorer or you may
prefer the 8/5 for Eto’o to score at any point in the contest. Other leading contenders for first goalscorer
are Mario Balotelli at 6/1, Goran Pandev at 7/1, Wesley Sniejder at 8/1 and Maicon at 12/1. I would back
Eto’o as he is a proven player at the very top of football over many years and very at home performing
well on the big occasions and it does not get much bigger than a Champions league final.

Other Interesting Bets you can Place

There are lots of interesting bets you can place at bwin.com for the champion’s league final. There are
many odd and even bets where you can bet at 17/20 that a wide variety of things like yellow cards,
free-kicks and throw-ins will be an odd or even number at the end of the first half if you like a bit of fun
that way. You may prefer betting on how many goals will be scored within certain time periods or which
team will win the first corner of the match. There are lots of quirky bets to go with the standard betting opportunities you would expect for a match of this stature so visit bwin.com and see what they have
to offer.

There are over 290 bets to place on bwin.com for this final chance to take part in Champions League betting
this season. We have a great final  in prospect and I cannot wait for this match to start. I am going to a
friend’s house to watch the action  but rest assured my bwin.com bets will be in my pocket and I will be
cheering on the teams to hopefully  get the results I want.

Hopefully you can select all of the winning bets and carry on doing so throughout our World Cup summer.
