29.06 SPAIN CHAMPIONS

Spain ended their 44-year wait for international glory as they defeated
Germany 1-0 in the final of Euro 2008 at Ernst Happel stadium. Luis Aragones
announced prior to this summer's tournament that he was to step down as
Spain boss at the conclusion and he is set to go out on a high as Fernando
Torres struck to secure Spain's first piece of silverware since the 1964
European Championship.

29.06 BALLACK BACK
The German captain Michael Ballack are for the final. For Spain Cesc Fabregas
finally got a place in strating line up and will complete and five-man midfield for
the spanians. Here are the line ups:


Germany:

26.06 NO CHANSE RUSSIA - SPAIN PLAYS FINAL

Spain will contest Sunday's Euro 2008 final after they put on a sumptuous
second half display to see off a Russia side that were put to the sword 3-0 on
a wet night in Vienna. The opening 45 minutes was a closely fought affair that
was full of tension, if not chances, as both sides toiled without too much
success. After the interval though and Spain, with substitute Cesc Fabregas
at the hub of much of their best work, played some glorious football after Xavi
had fired home Andres Iniesta's cross-cum-shot from the left.

25.06 LUCKY GERMANS BEAT HEROIC TURKS


Philip Lahm's last-gasp goal gave Germany a thrilling 3-2 win over Turkey to
book their place in the final of Euro 2008. Full-back Lahm struck in the final
minute to finally end depleted Turkey's dreams of causing a major upset.
Semih Senturk appeared to have sent the game into extra-time when he
equalised four minutes from time only for Lahm to win the game for Germany

22.06 SPAIN TO SEMIS AFTER PENALTIES

Cesc Fabregas scored the winning penalty to send Spain into the semi-finals
of Euro 2008 after a 4-2 shoot-out victory over Italy. The Arsenal star kept
his cool from the spot to beat Gianluigi Buffon and set up a semi-final meeting
with Russia on Thursday after Antonio Di Natale and Daniele De Rossi both
missed from the spot for Italy as Spain reached their first semi-final since 1984.

21.06 RUSSIAN DELIGTH
Guus Hiddink came out on top against the country of his birth as Russia secured
a 3-1 victory over Holland to book their place in the semi-finals of Euro 2008.
It took extra-time to get there as Dmitri Torbinski and Andrei Arshavin netted
after Roman Pavlyuchenko's opener had been cancelled out by van Nistelrooy's

20.06 UNBELIVABLE TURKEY!

Turkey set up a meeting with Germany in the Euro 2008 semi-finals after beating
Croatia on penalties after an extraordinary climax to the last-eight showdown
in Vienna. Rustu Recber saved Mladen Petric's spot-kick in the shoot-out, after
Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic had already missed, to send Turkey into the last

19.06 Classy Germans into semis

Germany lived up to their billing as pre-tournament favourites as they booked
a place in the Euro 2008 semi-finals with an impressive 3-2 win over Portugal.

Although the Germans qualified for the quarter-finals as runners-up in Group B
following defeat by Croatia, the three-time winners were back to their best in
Basel as they proved just too good for the Euro 2004 finalists.

18.06 RUSSIA DUMP OUT SWEDEN

Russia are through to the quarter-finals of Euro 2008 following a fully-deserved
2-0 success over Sweden. Guys Hiddink's side, who needed to win to set up a
clash against Holland, were on the front foot from the off, while Sweden seemed
happy to try and contain Russia. They were rewarded for their enterprising play
in the Roman Pavlyuchenko slotted home in the 24th minute following fine
flowing move.

Spain with a 2-0 victory over 10-man France in Zurich. Pirlo's 25th-minute

in their Euro 2008 Group D encounter. The winner came from nothing as the
Spanish defence sent a hopeful long ball upfield, only for Villa to sidestep the
Swedish defence and calmly slot the ball past Andreas Isaksson.

Holland booked their place in the quarter-finals of with a convincing 4-1 victory

Portugal have qualified for the quarter-finals of Euro 2008 after beating the
Czech Rep. 3-1. Later tonigth Turkey beat the host Switzerland to send them

10.06 SWEDEN - GREECE 2-0
Reigning champions Greece were brought crashing back to earth with a 2-0
defeat at the hands of Sweden. A Zlatan Ibrahimovic thunderbolt put Sweden
men on their way after 67 min., before Petter Hansson sealed the points.
 

08.06 CROATIA -AUSTRIA 1-0
Croatia survived a stern test as they kicked off their Euro 2008 campaign with
a 1-0 victory over co-hosts Austria in Group B.  Luca Modric scored the goal.
